My husband and I were relocating to the Reno/Carson City region and looking to purchase a home in Sept. 2017. While looking for a prospective home, we planned on living in our motorhome as we had sold and closed on our home in Michigan. Our realtor, Jodi Shaw, recommended that if we were deciding on the Dayton, NV area due to more house for less money; to park the RV in the Dayton RV Park and we would be closer to our future homesite. We could not have made a better choice! The park is under new ownership and management now. It is exceptionally well taken care of by "Rich," manager, and his assistant, "Lori". Modern bathrooms & showers, laundry facilities with all new washers/dryers are clean, close to restaurants, shopping, & entertainment. The bulletin board keeps you up to date on happenings in the Dayton/Virginia City areas. There is a lovely walled in patio with many tables, gas grills, and umbrellas for socializing in warmer weather. Our dog, Bodie, enjoyed the maintained dog run so close to our site. He also enjoyed the daily pats and loving he received from both Rich and Lori. It's a very friendly, quiet, small RV park where we felt all our needs including safety were met with a smile. While my husband had to make a trip back to Michigan to retrieve a car we left there, I was alone and had some electrical problems with the motorhome. I asked Rich for his expertise in what could be wrong. Problem was solved in a few minutes with a diagnosis of a blown fuse and Rich even suggested where I could buy a few fuses to keep in reserve. He even offered to replace it for me! So now we are in our new home and loving Dayton more every day for it's beauty and small town atmosphere where everyone knows everyone. We were even invited to the 1st annual Veteran's Day Dinner at the Community Center, and the mayor, Denise Crites, got the tickets and delivered them to us on site when she heard we both were veterans. I was so touched by this generous gesture, and the dinner was fabulous! Today we retrieved our RV to our home and it was bittersweet to be leaving Rich, Lori, and the RV Park but we will keep in touch as friends for sure. So if anyone out there is also in our situation of relocating to Dayton, don't hesitate to check out the Dayton RV Park and plan to stay awhile. You will feel like family before you leave.
